YELLOW WARNING: SCOTLAND TO BE HIT BY SNOW AND ICE
Weather warnings have been issued for much of Scotland.
The Met Office has placed a yellow warning of snow and ice as freezing temperatures are set to hit Scotland.
Icy conditions and snow is predicted to hit the mainland, seriously affecting any travel plans.
Up to 3cm of snow is expected in the lowlands, with as much as 10cm in southern Scotland & 20cm of snow in the highlands.
Power cuts are expected and mobile phone coverage, could also be affected.
Some communities could be cut off for several days, with possible interruptions to power supplies and other services, such as gas, water, telephone and mobile phone coverage, citizens are advised to be as provisional as is safely practicable under current pandemic restrictions.
The weather warning is in place from Tuesday morning and will continue until 12pm on Sunday.
